A Message from Josh
Pillar Church began as I sat on a bus ride through Atlanta. It was my 31st birthday and I had come to a crossroads in my life. I desired for church to be radically different and honestly I was bored. I was bored becasue I wanted to see spiritual things but the church seemed like a reheated coporate dinner. The politicing and trying to position the church for growth struck me as plastic and I couldn't see myself continuing to much longer.
Then came the bus ride. That day I had watched a group of 30 men and women sit in a cicle and really come before Jesus. There was honesty and transparency in the room and it fueled a desire in me to lead a church towards that vision.
So I launched out with a few families and a desire to set our ambition on authenticity. It's still my prayer and aim.
Thanks
