    I want to let you know of some schedule changes that will affect Pillar over the next two weeks. I also want to ask that you make these two Sundays a priority by praying for and bringing your family to these Pillar Church events. This is a busy season for everyone, but the next two weeks are pivotal for this church. If you call Pillar Church home, or if you are interested in the future and direction of this ministry, I strongly encourage you to be present and engaged.

    On Sunday, September 21st, we will be gathering at Horace King Park at 11 AM. Horace King is located out Roanoke Road past Pyne Road Park. It is the first left after the bridge. Once in the park, stay right to the parking lot and the group pavilion is down on the right. The burgers, dogs and drinks will be provided but we ask you to bring a side or dessert. This will be a much needed connection time, but we will also be considering the direction of our church. I am going to be sharing the vision that God has given me over the past few months and giving you some clearly defined handles for you to grab onto. This will be the most important dialogue we have had about Pillar in three years.

    On Sunday, September 28th, the schedule is dramatically different than anything we’ve ever done. First, on Sunday morning, Pillar will gather in homes at 10:30 AM. These home groups will have a small devotional time followed by a time of prayer. Each group will be given a pack of invitations to our worship gathering that evening. These invitations will be given out in the neighborhoods of the home groups in which you will meet. You may also give them as personal invitations to family and friends.

    This evening gathering will be at Doc Spears Gathering Place at 7 PM. This unique venue is an old building with no roof and trees grow up the walls of old exposed brick. It is a great setting for a worship gathering and a neat atmosphere will be created as the sun sets.  We will gather for a time of worship and teaching that will begin at 7:00 PM and last until 8:30 PM. There will be no childcare provided for this meeting.

    I truly hope you will join with Pillar Church as we set out with a fresh vision and renewed call.
