Why a new church?


When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.

Pillar Church will be thoroughly missional.
A church is truly a fellowship of believers with a common mission at home, work, in their community and their world. Seeking to follow Jesus into a missional/ lifestyle will lead to Fathers and Husbands becoming pastors of their homes, believers seeing their role in the Great Commission, and creating a church that plants churches.

Pillar Church will use a philosophy of ministry that reflects the ancient roots of Christianity.
Bible based not business based churches will reach a new generation of lost people, who no longer see churches as the “Pillar of Truth” (1 Timothy 3:15)
 
Pillar Church will be a church of “people”, not a “place.”
A core value must be placed on the view of the church. When the church is seen as a fellowship of believers the focus will shift from where we meet to why we meet.

Pillar Church will be a multi-generational church comprised of individuals and families of all ages.
The health of a church is directly related to generation discipleship, older are to
teach the younger. (Titus 2 & Psalm 71:18)

Pillar Church will be a holistically designed family-based church.
The heart of this Church will beat for families to experience God together. Each facet will revolve around strengthening families for the Kingdom of God.

Pillar Church will have arts and creativity at its heart.
As emerging generations seek an experience with the Creator the church must give attention to the creativity of discipleship, evangelism, worship, fellowship, ministry, and preaching. Believing that people of emerging generations want deeply spiritual experiences with God, this Church will strive to creatively draw people into the presence of their God.

Pillar Church will passionately clear up misconceptions about Christianity.
In a world growing increasingly hostile to the truth this Church will attack misconceptions that keep people away from Jesus.

Pillar Church will disciple believers and nonbelievers through home based small groups.
Couches not metal chairs will provide the environment for spiritual growth. “He (Elders) must enjoy having guest in his home and must be able to teach.” (1 Timothy 3:2b NLT) Building relational groups in homes will lead to deeply spiritual conversations…conversions… continued spiritual growth.

Pillar Church will design worship gatherings for believers to experience their God.
The gatherings will serve as a pasture in which the sheep will graze. While everyone is welcome, attention will be given to the reason we gather… the worship of our God.

Pillar Church will plant multiple churches and support church planting near home and throughout the world.
Pillar Church is a church plant that will plant churches. New churches fulfill the Great Commission and bring freshness and passion to communities. As God leads, thePillar Family will sacrifice for new churches.
